You can weld contacts at any angle with the HSG-600-E contact welder. Profile tapes and round wires that can be welded onto the carrier strap - from above and below - at angles to the carrier strap between 0 and 180° are suitable.
A nice side effect: The distance between the contacts can be shortened, the tape material can be utilized optimally and the waste reduced.
Drive is via servomotors, which simply swivel in parallel with the unit. By comparison with the HSG-500-E the movements are executed in larger curves. This provides perfect quality even at high stroke rates.
The contacts are cut by carbide cutting elements inside the unit and then conveyed under the electrodes by a transport pusher. Insertion is by a tension spring and is monitored by a sensor.
You can select the contact gap to the edge of the carrier strap, because the welder is totally separated from the lower electrode unit.The lower electrode can also be integrated into the mold tool by the customer.
The electrodes are designed as electrode wheels and have 16 to 32 work surfaces depending on the size of the pin. Cooling of the electrodes is either direct or indirect.
The contact is supported and carried under the electrodes, whereby the electrode has no recesses and has less contamination.
The lowering of the electrode unit involves guide posts so absolute parallelism is guaranteed. The electrode unit can be removed from the front and the electrode wheels can be turned or replaced without any difficulty.
The contact section is held only by the electrodes during welding – the environment is vacant. So undesirable shunts are an impossibility.
Curve controlled sequences ensure superb welding quality even with rapid work processes.
You can shift production in the blink of an eye using the proven quick change cassette system for different contact weld wires or contact weld profile tapes.
