Heavier duty contacts with a cross-section up to 6 mm2 can be processed with the HSG-700-E contact welder so you can significantly expand your spectrum of parts in production.
The technology and the system of electrodes are the same as for the HSG-600-E. But the enlarged construction design allows even greater movements (curve controlled sequences).
The special feature of the 700 series is the perpendicular set up of the electrode unit which is accomplished by a curve controlled lever. Four guide posts prevent the unit from tipping sideways even with the heavy duty contacts and with stronger welding forces.
As a result of the guide columns the electrode unit is placed in absolute parallel - there is no dwell angle to be factored in.
The upper electrode is either a directly cooled electrode or an electrode wheel with 16 - 32 work surfaces depending on the size of the pin. Cooling of the electrode wheel is either direct or indirect. The lower electrode may be designed to move with a 3 mm stroke.
The contact cut is held only by the electrodes during welding – the welding environment is vacant. So undesirable shunts are an impossibility.
The cutting elements and the electrode wheels are dismantled from the front, meaning the unit stays in place.
Curve controlled sequences ensure superb welding quality even with rapid work processes.
You can shift production in the blink of an eye using the proven quick change cassette system for different contact weld wires or contact weld profile tapes.
