Special features in the process

The contacts are cut in the device via carbide cutting elements and then pushed under the electrode via a transport slide. The insertion takes place via a tension spring and is checked by a sensor. The contact distance to the edge of the carrier strip can be freely selected, as the welding unit is completely separated from the lower electrode unit. The lower electrode can also be integrated into the tool by the customer.

The electrodes are designed as electrode wheels and have 16 to 32 working surfaces, depending on the contact size. Electrode cooling can be direct or indirect. The contact is held under the electrode, which means that the electrode has no indentations and less contamination.

The electrode unit is lowered via guide columns, thus guaranteeing absolute parallelism. The electrode unit can be removed from the front; the electrode wheels can be rotated or replaced without difficulty. During welding, the contact section is held only by the electrode - the surrounding area is free. Thus, no undesirable shunts are possible.

Efficiency in production

Cam-controlled sequences ensure first-class welding quality even with fast work processes. The proven cassette quick-change system for different contact welding wires or contact welding profiles allows you to change over production in no time at all.
