Contact welding up to 6 mm² cross section

The technology and the system of electrodes are the same as for the HSG-600-E. But the enlarged construction design allows even greater movements (cam-controlled sequences).
The special feature of the 700 series is the perpendicular set up of the electrode unit which is accomplished by a cam-controlled lever. Four guide posts prevent the unit from tipping sideways even with the heavy duty contacts and with stronger welding forces.

Special features in the process

Due to the guide columns, the electrode unit is placed on the contact absolutely parallel - no closing angle has to be considered. The upper electrode is either a directly cooled electrode or an electrode wheel with 16 to 32 working surfaces, depending on the contact size. The electrode wheel can be cooled directly or indirectly. The lower electrode can be movable, with a stroke of 3 mm. During welding, the contact section is held only by the electrode - the welding environment is free. Thus, no undesirable shunts are possible.
The cutting elements and electrode wheels are removed from the front, i.e. the unit remains in position.

Efficiency in production

Cam-controlled sequences ensure first-class welding quality even with fast work processes. The proven cassette quick-change system for different contact welding wires or contact welding profiles allows you to change over production in no time at all.
